My Journey

My Work

My Credentials

I came to Houston as a kid, and this city shaped me from the start. My classmates came from every corner of the world — and from Texas, too — creating a place where difference felt natural and community was built through collaboration.

In grade school, a group of wonderfully patient Texas teachers taught me far more than lessons on paper. They showed me how to see people — to notice what we share, to appreciate what makes us unique, and to meet the world with openness. Those lessons became my compass.

After college, I began my career at Credit Suisse and later joined Sanders Morris Harris, where one project changed everything. I helped lead a transaction to invest in the world’s first commercial proton therapy center at MD Anderson — a breakthrough for babies and vulnerable patients who couldn’t endure traditional radiation. Working with visionaries like Dr. James Cox showed me that finance, at its best, can build hope.

Twenty years later, now with my partners at Robertson Global Partners, I still carry Houston’s spirit with me — collaborative, bold, heartfelt. And I’m grateful every day for the chance to keep building things that matter.

I’m the Managing Director of Robertson Investment Management, a 50-year-old investment firm based in Houston, Texas, and the head of Robertson Global Partners, our private capital division. Over the past two and a half decades, I’ve built my career at the intersection of investment banking and private capital—helping companies and investors navigate complex financings, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic growth initiatives across the U.S. and abroad.

My work has spanned industries as diverse as healthcare, biosciences, energy, energy transition, and real assets. I’ve had the privilege of partnering with public and private corporations, financial institutions, and public–private ventures to shape strategies that create long-term value and lasting impact.

Before joining Robertson, I served as a Principal at Industry Capital, a San Francisco–based private equity firm managing more than $3 billion in assets during my tenure. My career began in 1997 and has taken me through investment banking and private equity roles at Credit Suisse, WestLB AG, and Sanders Morris Harris—each experience shaping how I think about leadership, partnership, and purpose in finance.

At Robertson Global Partners, I’m focused on building a collaborative and transparent platform that attracts intelligent, driven, and creative professionals—people who believe that success is best achieved through alignment, shared purpose, and trust between investors and clients.

Outside of work, I stay deeply engaged in causes that matter to me—environmental sustainability, public health, and global poverty alleviation. I helped launch IC-7Gen, an ESG initiative at Industry Capital that partners with global energy companies and international foundations to support socially impactful enterprises in emerging markets.

I earned my B.A. in Political Science from the University of Chicago and am currently pursuing a dual MBA and Master’s in Clinical Translation Management at the University of St. Thomas in Houston. I’ve also been honored to serve on the Houston Mayor’s International Trade & Development Council and the White House Initiative on Asian Americans.
